The FAST Package combines a diverse partnership of global and national partners.

The FAST Package began in 2020 in two countries Ghana and Madagascar. For two years, the team designed training curriculum, trained different levels of healthcare providers through online and in-person training and worked with teachers to improve coverage with mass drug administration. The FGS national committee in Ghana played a key role in the expansion of activities beyond the project sites. In 2023, the FAST Package expanded to two additional districts in Madagascar and opened a pilot site in Ethiopia. The FAST Package is a holistic approach to address FGS and can be used and adapted by other partners and countries where Schistosoma haematobium is endemic.
